Merry Christmas – 2019 in Review

TMP Christmas 2019

With Christmas just around the corner we wanted to say a big Thank you for your support throughout 2019.

It’s been a busy year for us!

Firstly in January we officially moved into our new home, a state of the art manufacturing plant in Wednesbury, West Midlands. It was a great honour to have the Mayor of Sandwell at our grand opening, you can read more here.

Then in March, we started work on our new website. Our old one was pretty good but we wanted people to be able to order online too. We finally launched the site in August. We took e-commerce to the next level and gave our visitors the ability to build and customise our bollards directly on the page, using our “Bollard Builder”.  You can give it a try here on our Evo-N traffic bollard or our Manchester street bollard. Once you’ve picked your colours, symbol and fixing method you can pay with your credit card or even set up a trade account. Simples.

In September our Evo-Chev passive chevrons we used as part of a road refurbishment scheme near Terminal 5 at Heathrow airport. They were a perfect fit for the project so we wrote a case study that you can read here.

November saw one of our proudest moments – achieving “We invest in people Silver” accreditation from the IIP team. It’s something the whole team had been working hard on over the last few years. We’re proud to make some of the best traffic and street lighting products in the industry and now we’re officially one of the best companies to work at.

Talking about industry-leading products, in November we added the Evo-Max to our traffic bollard family. The Max has 4x the reflective area of traditional rebound bollards, making it a great choice for sites needing de-illumination with maximum side visibility. You can read more here.
Then just last week we released our solution one of our industry’s biggest street lighting issues – making a better column embellishment kit that doesn’t cause galvanic corrosion and doesn’t have to be removed for structural testing. We used our experience of advanced polymers to produce a non-metallic embellishment kit that makes the whole process safer, quicker and more cost-effective.

Christmas Opening Times

I’m sure like us, you’re ready for the Christmas break and looking forward to spending time with your family and friends. Our offices close at 4:30 pm Monday 23rd December 2019 for Christmas, and then reopen in the New Year at 8:30 am Thursday 2nd January 2020. You can still place orders online over the holiday and we’ll process as soon as we’re back.

We look forward to continuing to work with you for the rest of this year and many more to come.

Merry Christmas,

Jonathan Brown
