Our Manchester bollard is made from a bio-polymer derived from sugar cane.
What are the benefits to the environment?
When sugar cane grows it absorbs CO2. This ‘carbon capture’ actually reduces the carbon levels in the atmosphere – a negative carbon footprint. The sugar cane production is regulated and adheres to local and international standards of sustainability. Plantations are prohibited from expanding into areas which would negatively impact bio-diversity and they do not take away arable land for farming, so there is no impact on food security and availability.

Town/City centres, pedestrian areas, roadside and public spaces.
Long life
Our bollards are built to last. They’re abrasion and chip resistant, as well as being resistant to salt spray and uric acid. Plus at the end of their lives, our bollards are 100% recyclable.
Security
Where perimeter protection is needed, our Manchester bollard is available with an anti-ram inner steel tube. This is a great option for protecting pedestrians and other valuable assets.

The Manchester is available as an anti-ram or rigid variant.
Compatibility
The whole of our street furniture bollard range has been designed with the option of our innovative LockSafe® system. This means our LockSafe® roots are directly compatible with industry standard sockets already in the ground. We have options for both round and square ground sockets.
LockSafe® technology is built in to bollards roots made by TMP Solutions and allows compatibility with existing industry standard sockets. This means you can install a TMP bollard in to a Glasdon Round or Square LockFast™ ground socket.
You have three options:
New Installations
- For new installations choose the LockSafe® SQ Root and TMP Ground Socket
Replacements and Retrofits
- Want to replace a Glasdon bollard with a bollard from TMP Solutions and keep the original square LockFast™socket? No problem, choose the LockSafe® SQ Root it's 100% compatible.
- Finally choose the LockSafe® R Root if you want to install a TMP Solutions bollard in to a round Glasdon socket.
Installation Options
Steel Core
Cast onto a central steel core, our anti-ram bollards are designed to help protect pedestrians and other objects from vehicular impact.
Bolt-down
The flange plate on our surface mounting option allows you to install the bollard on any sound solid surface. Fixing kits available.
Concrete-in Root
The easiest way to install our bollards is to concrete them in.
Ground Socket + SQ Root
Our LockSafe® ground socket allows our bollards to be easily removed and replaced for temporary, permanent or semi-permanent applications. Damaged bollards can also be quickly replaced without expensive groundworks.

TMP Locksafe Socket Plug Plate
The TMP Locksafe socket plug plate has been made to perfectly fit into the Locksafe socket to seal the hole when there isn't a bollard inserted into it. This plug is important to keep the socket clean and stop anyone tripping in the hole when it is empty.
- Manufactured from steel with a protective zinc coating.
- Easy to fit and take out when required.
Indus Steel-Core Bollard
The Indus Steel-Core bollard has been designed and tested to protect pedestrians and assets.
- For perimeter protection, this bollard has an anti-ram inner steel tube.
- The Indus bollard has the option of 150mm and 20mm retroreflective bands to increase its conspicuity for motorists at night.
